Conservation Area Revision
Brinton and Sharrington Conservation Area Appraisal – Public Consultation.
The NNDC in conjunction with their consultants, Purcell have produced a draft Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for Brinton and Sharrington.
NNDC are offering local communities the opportunity to be involved in the consultation process for their village/parish. The public consultation will run from 22 November to 21 January 2022. During this period. an exhibition will be available in both our local churches. Members of the public will be able to leave their written comments there and view the full document. There will also be a drop in session at Sharrington Village Hall between 5.30-7pm on 15 December, or Hunworth Village Hall between 2.30-4.30 pm on the same day. NNDC and Purcell representatives will be on hand to explain the process and answer questions.
The final document will become a material consideration in the planning process. It will record the special historic and architectural interest of our area. It will assess what pressures there are for change and opportunities for enhancement. It will provide guidance and recommendations that the Council and residents can use for the positive management, preservation and improvement of the Conservation Area.
The Glaven Valley Conservation Areas Review is now available by clicking here. The extensive Sharrington Conservation Area Appraisal document can be viewed by clicking here.
The Parish Council will have the appraisal as an item on the Agenda for its next scheduled Parish Council meeting on January 6. We hope that all parishioners will be involved in this important Public Consultation and will contact a Parish Councillor if they require further information or wish to discuss the document.
